Attorney Ethan Jesse Sheffet is the founding member of Sheffet & Dvorin, PC. Mr. Sheffet is a seasoned Litigator with trials to verdict. His litigation practice focuses on Personal Injury Law, Workers’ Compensation Law, Civil Rights Law representing individuals with Disabilities including learning differences, Employment Law including Sexual Harassment, Gender Discrimination, Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA) and Federal Whistleblower Claims, and handling general Civil Law, Commercial Law and Insurance Law matters on behalf of Plaintiffs and Defendants.
Mr. Sheffet also has thirty years of experience practicing Health Care Law representing Surgery Centers, Diagnostic Imaging Centers (MRI, CT scan, etc.), and health care professionals practicing Orthopedic Surgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Anesthesiology, Pain Management, Dentistry and Dental Surgery, Psychiatry, Neuropsychology, Psychology, Chiropractic and Physical Therapy.
Mr. Sheffet is also a Corporate Lawyer with almost thirty (30) years of experience serving as General Counsel for numerous entities. His corporate practice includes advising clients and handling Contractual, Leasing, Mergers and Acquisitions, Incorporation and choice of Entity Structure, Shareholder Agreements and Shareholder Disputes, Litigation and Employment matters. Mr. Sheffet also has significant experience handling local government matters including COAH (Counsel for Affordable Housing), Redevelopment and Collective Bargaining (Union). He served as the General Counsel of the Borough of Roseland for almost a decade. Mr. Sheffet was also formerly the Municipal Prosecutor for the Township of Verona and handles criminal law matters.
Mr. Sheffet graduated with Honors from Rutgers University, Rutgers College as a Henry Rutgers Distinguished Scholar and received a four year merit scholarship. Mr. Sheffet graduated from George Washington University, National Law Center, where he was the recipient of a Whitcomb Merit Scholarship. Mr. Sheffet is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Attorney Joshua E. Dvorin concentrates his practice in the areas of Workers Compensation, Personal Injury litigation and automobile insurance law including Personal Injury Protection (PIP) arbitration. He has extensive trial experience in workers’ compensation matters representing both injured employees as well as management and their insurance carriers.
Mr. Dvorin graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and received his law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, where he was a member of the Trial Advocacy Team and on the New Europe Law Review. Mr. Dvorin is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
